Sally Rand's feather fan dance captivated audiences years and years ago, and even now after her death her fans still idolize her for the contributions she made to burlesque. She has inspired many neoburlesque artists including Dita Von Teese and those like her. Performing at fairs and circuses allowed her career to take off, and from there she only grew in popularity and even gave acting a try.
